Essential Range

The Essential Range has two packages.

Basic and Essential

Each package has a similar goal but a different process, so the outcome will be different.

More effort is required to build the Essential.

About this range

The Essential Range creates simple, well-constructed websites that lay out all your essential details, clearly and attractively: driving people to contact you.

Basic Website Package

This process can be used for simple builds that can stay close to a chosen starter theme.

The theme can be modified with additional sections from Starfish’s section library.

The client can choose directly from the layouts library.

Clients should provide formatted content for each section of each page.

There is no help with content planning

Advanced Website Package

Most businesses don’t easily fit into starter themes and basic section layouts.

To get a consistent look, effort is needed to adapt content to layouts and layouts to content.

Starfish will plan how the website will look and find ways to improve it.

Therefore, there is a lot more effort in the visual planning phase to create a better looking websites.

The approach to making the website

The main job is to keep the content sparse and easy to digest without going into details.

Whilst there may be content planning, the end goal is simplicity.

These projects are visually driven, although lots of clients don’t have good photos, so will require a semi-content driven approach.

Prototyping may be used to test out layouts.

Differences between the packages

The basic package builds a quick and easy website. If your business needs to look presentable and provide basic information: then a Basic Package will meet your needs.

If your business requires a bit more panache, then go for the Essential – this is what we recommend for 75% of our clients.
