Content Gathering

Content gathering involves bringing together all the content elements – the text, media and more.

You have to organize it so that it can be, evaluated and staged for development

Encourage the client to be organized

Set the ground rules. What format, where to be stored, how to name the media.

Don’t let clients dump all their content on you, leaving you to work out what is what.

Help clients visualize the content they need

Provide a very rough page structure, so that clients can visualize the content they need.

This will speed up the project and make it more efficient.

Place content inside the visual board

Place the raw content from the client inside FigJam, so that it can be evaluated and used to help develop other areas of the visual plan.

Content-gathering tactics for larger projects

For larger projects, place content on shared drives like Google Docs with samples in the visual board.
