Quality Assurance

Coordinators are expected to know how to check work.

They should also ensure that specialists check their own work.

Avoid clients seeing incomplete work

Specialists don’t always complete the job and clients are left correcting obvious mistakes. This is annoying for clients.

Ensure high standards and same technology on all projects

Specialists tend to do things their way. Ensure things are done the Starfish way, such as using standard issue plugins.

Technical and Design Quality Assurance
Know how to check a website both from a technical and a design perspective. Do not leave QA up to the specialist. If you don’t know how to do it, get training.
Keep regular checks on projects (QC)

Initiate  and thorough checks over and above the QA checks. Spotting mistakes early is important for efficiency.

Design Quality Contol

Starfish websites need to look simple and modern.

Since its a difficult thing to fix at the end, making sure that our design goals are met, needs to be worked on during the early phases.

Get technitians to help in technical QC and QA

Once in a while (QC), get a specialist to check their technical work of others.

If a specialist does not know (and you don’t know) you should both seek training from the consultant.

Team members should not make regular mistakes

Everyone makes mistakes, but if they keep happening – its a sign that staff are not checking their work. This should be reported to HR.
